Hunter Davis joined the Florida Atlantic equipment staff in August of 2007. His day-to-day responsibilities include the ordering, receiving, and issuing of equipment for all 17 Olympic sports.
Prior to arriving at FAU, Davis worked as an assistant equipment manager for The Citadel in 2006. He was responsible for the daily operations of the equipment room for all 13 men's and women's sports. He also served as the head equipment manager for tennis, basketball, men's and women's track, and women's soccer.
Before working at the Citadel, Davis held various equipment manager and game day operation positions for both college and professional soccer teams. He started working for D.C. United of the MLS as an intern in 2003. In 2005 he became the head equipment manager for the Virginia Beach Mariners and the head equipment manager for the Charleston Battery of the United Soccer Leagues in 2007. Prior to that, Hunter served as a graduate student football equipment manager at the University of Central Florida in 2004 and in 2005 worked as a graduate student basketball equipment manager at Old Dominion University.
A native of Leesburg, VA, Davis earned his Masters in Education from Old Dominion University in 2006. Prior to that, he received his B.S. in Sport Management from West Virginia University in 2003.
Davis is a member of the American Equipment Managers Association.
